This course is exactly what I needed. I learned skills and techniques during this course that I am certain will, help me to troubleshoot issues that are happening right now in our production environment, and will eliminate our need to open a TAC case in some instances.

After the training, I am more clear about the packet and session concept in Palo Alto firewalls. Also, I learned some new troubleshooting skills by using CLI commands. Such as debug level packet captures, debug logging, as well as how to check and analyze the log and pcap files, especially the part of troubleshooting the IPSec VPN issues is really impressive.

I thought the training was perfect. I learned a lot about how a Palo Alto firewall handles certain network traffic. Also learned good tips and tricks to solve network (traffic) problems faster and easier.
I also really liked the course because during the training you learn how to quickly troubleshoot problems and better understand what to configure or adjust in case of a possible network problem or an optimization of the security rules on a Palo Alto firewall.

Appreciated the implementation of further digging tools and understanding session flows for troubleshooting when basic troubleshooting fails. Also appreciated the further dive into cli and logs available only from cli. Additionally thought it was really helpful that you can create filters for packet capture as a lot of end users do not know how to use a packet capture tool and provide appropriate pcaps.

A good way in to understanding just what Palo Alto firewalls can do and the different ways of configuring them. I especially appreciated getting to know the CLI commands which I think will speed up my efficacy at work considerably.
The lab setup was generally very good, unfortunately there was one issue with the User-ID lab where a script was missing, but I think this will be corrected soon. The labs and infrastructure was however generally very well designed and it's great that they are available for 3 months after the course, that is an improvement on other training providers where they only stay online for a week or so.

Overall this course is excellent for new users. I would highly suggest taking this course if you are new to Palo Alto Firewalls. The sooner the better, it will help you get a good understanding on how these firewalls operate and will help you stand up these firewalls in your network.
